New DTM revision

There’s a new version of DTM available. It was released at the end of last week. Craig has the details..

This marks a change in the way Microsoft is distributing the logo tools. Whereas they were built into the Vista WDK for RTM, going forward, they will be released separately as the Windows Logo Kit (WLK). They’re going to try to do annual updates to the kit each June or so, with beta availability of the kit six months earlier.

Can anyone explain me where can I download the new revision of DTM and why all the presentation videos shows that the DTM client version is 2039 and my clients versions 1.0.6000. I have the WDK 6000 build is there some other version

The new DTM is available on the Connect beta site. Go to connect.microsoft.com for more information.

1.0.6000 is the version of DTM that shipped with the release (6000) WDK.

Thanks for the info but can you tell me information doe’s the DTM client version is updated also?

  4. dispensa says:

yes, the new DTM is version 1.0.a (IIRC). I don’t know what the build number is because I just finished downloading it and have been distracted on other things, so I haven’t set it up yet.

I did download the new WLK 1.0a and install it. I can’t understand why the client version is still 1.0.6001.100 it’s updated but on the Training videos the DTM client version is 2.2.2098.237.This is problem for me beacuse the 3 Run First tests can’t be found. Those tests prepare the logo system testing machines. Doe’s anyone have the same problem. If someone have same problem please answer.Thanks.

You should leave feedback on Connect. Also, there is a DTM newsgroup I linked to in a previous post, and Craig Rowland’s blog may be a good place to leave feedback.

It wouldn’t be shocking to me to hear that there’s something wrong with 1.0.a; it’s a beta kit, so it’s probably not perfect.

Good luck, and do keep us posted.

Weird; looks like a DTM bug, although there may be a workaround. This is another good candidate for the DTM newsgroup, if you haven’t tried there yet.
